OTB - Orange To Blue Prototype
OTB - Prototype
(Orange to Black, because you get to the portal orange to the portal blue, yup :/)
- Before playing!
Objective
You (a cheap copy of BMO), must reach the red star at the end of each levels. You won't know immediately where they will be, just look around. ;)
You must use your portals, which will be described in detail how they work in this page.
There are 3 levels and in the last one there will be an "End" sign. So yeah, game ends there, no more.
Keybindings
- A: Move left
- D: Move right
- W: Jump (don't rely to much on the jump blink)
- (Mouse) Move cursor: Aim at the walls
- (Mouse) Left click: Spawn orange portal on wall
- (Mouse) Right click: Spawn blue portal on wall
Tips and tricks
GO FULLSCREEN, because the cursor might go out of the window and ruin the experience :(
It's really important to know how portals work. Either if you played portal or not, it doesn't matter, I also didn't play Portal ;) (but I'll do it, I promise).
So, how do the portals work? When you spawn both portals (you can't de-spawn any of them) and you reach the orange portal, you'll teleport to the position of the blue portal.
About the aim... the portals can't be in the same spot (obviously...) and the portal will be spawned at the first block the line will intercept. An image is better than 1000 words:
About OTB...
I wanted this to became a "full fledged" game, with main menu, HUD, pause, etc... In the end, the structure I gave to the game wasn't that great and because of that I've decided to just publish it as a prototype.
I'll probably keep making games like this because I had a blast making this one.
